Hi, I'm Rebecca, PhD candidate in HCI at the University of California Santa Cruz.
I'm currently a PhD candidate in Computational Media at the University of California Santa Cruz. My research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction, specifically on how the design of interactive technologies can help people reflect, change their behaviors, and deal with difficult emotions. I like to combine aspects of computer science, psychology, and design to develop technologies that an address complex intrapersonal and social issues. In particular, I am interested in how technology can promote open-mindedness and self-efficacy.
Besides research, I love to hike, cook good food, and travel unreasonable distances for a good cup of coffee.
